Our first selection for joint pain relief is Inholtra Premium Lubri-Joint Gel Caps. An effective blend which includes the two main ingredients for combating joint pain, Glucosamine and chondroitin. The blend actually includes two forms of glucosamine. Standard glucosamine which helps repair and regenerate worn joint tissue while N-acetyl-glucosamine supports the body’s ability to reduce inflammation.

Chondroitin helps regenerate synovial fluid which is the lubricant between joints that cushions friction.

Glucosamine and chondroitin supplements do not work quickly; they must be taken regularly over several months before results are usually seen. This was indeed the case for our staffer. Our staffer who is fifty some years of age, had been taking Inholtra for almost three months before giving us his report. Our staffer does work out, does not smoke and lives a pretty active lifestyle however he still suffered from occasional joint discomfort. The Inholtra product was extremely effective at eliminating the bouts of joint discomfort our staffer would feel during weight training exercises. The effect was gradual but after three months the bouts of consistent discomfort were almost entirely eliminated.

Our second selection for joint pain relief is Amerifit Estroven Joint & Bone with Glucosamine, Chondroitin & Calcium which is specifically designed for women as it contains isoflavones for hormonal balance. As with Inholtra the products two main ingredients for combating joint pain are Glucosamine (one form) and chondroitin. Glucosamine which helps repair and regenerate worn joint tissue and chondroitin which helps regenerate synovial fluid which is the lubricant between joints that cushions friction.

As this is a product designed for women, one of our female staffers used this product to gauge its effectiveness. While not quite the gym rat our male staffer is, our staffer is a proficient runner and suffers from knee pain when running on concrete as opposed to her treadmill which is equipped with an orthopedic belt. Amerifit was also taken for three months by our staffer before giving her report.

Our staffers feedback was generally positive, the pain she would feel while running on concrete did diminish though it was not eliminated 100%. She still suffered from occasional bouts of pain even into the third month, however these episodes were not as frequent as before she began taking the supplement. She could not determine if the isoflavones had any effect on the supplements effectiveness. As a side note, the products instructions of taking 4 capsules per day can be inconvenient and with only 20 servings per bottle, the product is not as economical as Inholtra.
